Motion Control for Driving Robots and Guided Targets

Achieve repeatable, highly accurate motion with VBOX technology - ideal for Euro NCAP AEB, LSS, and other demanding testing scenarios.

With solutions like the VBOX 4 and VBOX 3iS, our systems deliver the low latency and precision required for seamless integration as motion packs in modern testing environments.

Why Choose VBOX for Robot Integration?

Path Accuracy

VBOX Motion Packs combine outstanding RTK positioning with inertial data, delivering centimetre-level accuracy in the measurements of dynamic, subject to target distances.

Compatibility

VBOX integrates with driving robots, ADAS platforms, and guided targets from leading manufacturers such as AB Dynamics, Humanetics, VEHICO and 4a.

Standard-complient

VBOX fully complies with the test protocols outlined by certification agencies and consumer test organisations, including Euro NCAP and NHTSA.

Cost-effective

Without compromising on accuracy, VBOX Motion packs offer the most cost-effective robot-integrated solution on the market when used with the VBOX 3iS.

CAN & Ethernet Output

Supports seamless integration with major driving robots and other testing equipment via CAN or Ethernet

Indoor Testing

In combination with our indoor positioning solution, VIPS, VBOX motion pack will seamlessly transition from indoor to outdoor testing with no drop in data.

Video Analysis

VBOX motion packs are designed to work alongside our high-end video products to accurately synchronise the data with up to 4 external video sources to 1/100th of a second.

Real-Time Analysis

All data parameters are available to view in real-time for instant analysis in the field.

VBOX Motion Pack Solutions

For tests which need the vehicle to take a repeatable and highly accurate path control – such as Euro NCAP AEB or LSS assessment- a VBOX can be used as a motion pack to provide speed, heading, and positional data that is accurate enough for a driving robot or ADAS target to follow a predefined path to centimetre-level accuracy.

How do Motion Packs work?

Motion Packs enable robot-controlled path following for applications requiring precision and repeatability, such as vehicle dynamics testing, ADAS development, Euro NCAP testing, homologation, brake development, and autonomous vehicle testing.

These systems provide real-time speed, position, and heading data using GNSS-corrected inertial measurement units, which deliver highly accurate measurements of a moving vehicle’s position, heading, and attitude.

The data is fed into the driving robot via a closed-loop system, allowing the vehicle to follow a predefined path with centimetre-level accuracy or synchronize seamlessly with ADAS soft targets.
