High performance GNSS receiver

The 100 Hz multi-constellation, multi-frequency GNSS engine tracks both the GPS and GLONASS networks of satellites and ensures that data is accurately captured, even in restricted sky view conditions.

Reliable testing in poor GNSS conditions

In GNSS denied environments, such as tunnels and deep urban canyons, VBOX 3iS significantly improves the accuracy of the estimated speed and position data by combining wheel speed information with GNSS and inertial data.

Compatible with steering robots

The RTK option offers greater positional accuracy when used in conjunction with a VBOX Base Station or other RTCMv3 service like NTRIP. This allows it to be used for robot guidance.

Cost-effective ADAS testing solution

Connected to another VBOX 3i RTK the VBOX 3iS can act as a moving target and offers a cost-effective testing solution for multi-vehicle, multi-target ADAS validation and autonomous vehicle testing.

High-grade IMU

The integrated IMU offers precise measurements of pitch, roll and yaw and also helps fill GNSS gaps.

Robust & waterproof

VBOX 3iS features a high quality aluminium enclosure, rugged Deutsch ASDD Autosport connectors and is dust and waterproof to IP67.

Extremely versatile

VBOX 3iS is designed to be used with your existing control system or data logger and connects via Serial or CAN.

Wheel speed integration

By using the existing CAN bus information from the vehicle, the VBOX 3iS removes the need to fit expensive external wheel speed sensors that are difficult to fit and vulnerable to damage.

Applications

VBOX 3iS is an extremely cost-effective solution for ADAS validation, steering robots and autonomous vehicle testing, and can also be used for conducting performance, braking and benchmarking tests. It has an oversampled event marker to precisely capture the start of tests such as braking.

In areas with limited or no satellite signal (such as tunnels or test tracks surrounded by trees), the VBOX 3iS can fill in the gaps for prolonged periods of time – allowing you to continue testing without having to worry about erroneous data.
